Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 3920 Victoria St. N, Shoreview, and Aug. 4, 3 p.m., at Lutheran
Church of the Good Shepherd, 4801 France Ave. S, Minneapolis.

“The Heart’s Desires” will feature musicians from Midwest colleges and the local choral community
performing music by Whitacre, Clausen, Hagenberg, Kirchner, Standford, Jennings, and more.

For a second year, emerging conductor Anachie Stueve is returning to the podium with “O My Luve’s
Like a Red, Red Rose,” composed by Rene Clausen.

“Spending seven years with Vox Nova has given me a front-row seat to the growth of emerging
conductors,” Stueve said. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to develop my conducting skills again this
season. I love guiding the choir towards musical excellence.”

According to Vicki Peters, artistic director and conductor, Vox Nova’s mission is to encourage emerging
musicians by collaborating with professionals and seasoned community singers.

“Anachie is a talented musician,” Peters said. “It’s wonderful to see her grow more confident and share
her talents.”

Peters designed the August program around some of her favorite composers’ heartwarming secular and
sacred music about hope, faith, life, and love.

“The ethereal music of Eric Whitacre and the eclectic music of René Clausen—both genius
composers—is just so beautiful. My hope is that the beauty of the music brings peace to our heart and
soul,” Peters said.

Among the song selections are “Danny Boy, “Not One Sparrow is Forgotten,” and “Lord of the Dance.” For more information, go to www.VoxNovaChorale.org.
